Golden Teacher mushrooms – a collection of information
Golden Teacher mushrooms are one of the most popular species of hallucinogenic mushrooms that appeared on the market in the 1980s. The name “Golden Teacher” comes from their distinctive golden color and supposed ability to teach and heal.
Appearance of the Golden Teacher
Golden Teacher mushrooms are characterized by a golden color of the cap and white spots that form dark outlines. The stem is white and may be slightly curved. The cap can reach a diameter of 5 to 10 cm, and the stem can be up to 15 cm high.
The taste and smell of Golden Teacher
Golden Teacher mushrooms have a delicate, slightly sweet taste and a neutral smell. They are not as intense in taste and smell as other types of hallucinogenic mushrooms.
Action Golden Teacher
Golden Teacher Mushrooms are considered to be moderately potent compared to other hallucinogenic mushrooms and can last anywhere from 4 to 8 hours. They can cause hallucinations, changes in perception, and strong emotional experiences. However, it should be remembered that some people may react negatively to them and therefore it is important to exercise caution and consult a doctor before using them.
Summary
Golden Teacher hallucinogenic mushrooms are one of the most famous and popular species of hallucinogenic mushrooms, which are characterized by a golden color of the cap and white spots. They have an average effect and are considered well tolerated by most people, but be careful and consult your doctor before using them.
Step 1 – What’s in the Box
In the packaging of grow kits in Poland, you won’t find instructions, as they are intended for microscopic research. However, you may find a plastic bag and clips. To maintain the quality of the grow kit, after receiving the package, store it in the refrigerator as soon as possible.
Step 2 – Hygiene
Disinfect your hands or wear disposable gloves.
Step 3 – Preparations
Uncover the plastic packaging of the grow kit. You can puncture the substrate with a previously disinfected fork in several places to a depth of about half a centimeter to facilitate water absorption. However, this is not necessary.
Step 4 – Water
Fill the kit with lukewarm water to the brim of the box (about 20º C). Put on the lid and leave the GrowKit for 1 hour. You can use pre-boiled or distilled water.
Step 5 – Lid
After an hour, remove the lid and pour off excess water.
Step 6 – Into the Bag!
Next, place the box with the grow kit in the plastic bag provided in the kit, without the lid!
Step 7 – Caution!
The bag should be placed AROUND THE BOX, not INSIDE THE BOX! Pour a cup of pre-boiled or distilled water, the bag will not leak, and the box will stand in the water.
Step 8 – Final Touch
Fold the bag at the top twice and secure it with a clamp or clip. Avoid blowing into it to avoid introducing bacteria or viruses into the grow kit. The procedure must be carried out in sterile conditions. A small mistake can affect the yields. The mycelium is delicate, and how you handle it will affect its development.
Step 8 – Into the Foil
Place the box in the foil in the lower carton. Remember to recycle the packaging. The carton should be placed where there is no direct sunlight, but it receives light. The room temperature should be between 22 and 25 degrees Celsius.
Step 9 – Respect
Give a name to the future mushroom. This may seem funny, but not for those who have already done it. As a cultivator, you have the first contact with the substrate, you initiate this process. The name may be important for further relationship.
Step 10 – Up to Two Weeks
For the next two weeks, avoid looking inside, leave the mycelium to develop. During this time, the grow kit needs a large amount of CO2, your presence is unnecessary.
Step 11 – What’s Next
After about 2 weeks, small mushrooms should appear as the first fruits. Now the grow kit needs your attention. Open it several times a day (3-4 times). Remove the clamp, try to provide air inside. Make sure not to blow inside, always disinfect your hands. Air humidity is important. You can moisten the foil in the bag with boiled or distilled water, but do not spray the mushrooms, only the wall of the bag so that droplets are visible.
Step 12 – Mushrooms
After a few days, the mushrooms should be large enough. It is important not to miss the moment of cap opening. Collect the mushrooms, without cutting or pulling them out. If the caps open too much, they may release spores and weaken the developing mycelium.
Step 12 – Respawn
Assuming you managed to harvest the yield in time, repeat the process from step 6. You can soak the grow kit about 4 times. The yields will be smaller, but they will still be there. Dried fruits will be enough for several trips and to share with trusted friends.
Step 13 – Commitment
Cultivation is a demanding task, it’s not a walk on the beach – it requires proper knowledge and commitment.
Step 14 – Exploration
We encourage you to explore various cultivation methods, for example on the growkit-instructions/ website, and to ask friends about different techniques.
Legal status
Before you start growing, find out about the legal status of psilocybin mushrooms in the country where you are staying. In Poland, growkit is legal, but growing mushrooms from it is not.
You want to start new experience
Remember, psilocybin mushrooms have an effect on consciousness and can both help and harm. Consult their possible use with the appropriate therapist.
Growkit Instruction
This is a collection of information on how to grow mushrooms from a growkit. It contains a description of the next steps to be taken from receiving the growkit to the first harvest. The information on this site is of a research nature aimed at people residing in countries where the possession of psilocybin mushrooms is legal. The creators of this site recommend completing research on the mycelium after 72 hours from the date of its receipt if the growkit holder lives in Poland or another country with a similar legal status.
